Standing with Ukraine

I live near Bolton Ukrainian Cultural Centre and, in fact, used to be a barmaid there many years ago. I thought about the people who go there who have families and friends in Ukraine and left this heart outside on 25 February.

I've also been making gloves. Lots of gloves! And decided to make a pair in unity with Ukrainians and their families.

Today I left this couple seeking refuge outside the Bolton Ukrainian Cultural Centre.

The couple were welcomed in and I've received so much positive feedback on Facebook. They've kept my heart on the door too!

It's so wonderful to be able to make a contribution through Craftivism.

They even made the local newspaper! You can read about it here

And they've popped them in the window and added some more lovely craft items.
